The siddhars gave the highest thing they knew the same name as an empty field.
Not a metaphor they reached for. A word that already carried it — across five languages, in the dictionary, before anyone built a philosophy on it.
The open
Empty. Open. Light. Clear. True.
One word holds all of it, in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kota and Kuwi.
And the outside
Outside. Made public. Put out.
The same word names what lies beyond the settlement, and who is sent there.
A museum of ancient South Asia, and of what was kept out of it.
This past is not short of accounts. It is short of accounts that show their working. So this one does: every claim with the evidence under it, the level that evidence was read at, and the limit where it stops.
Evidence you can inspect
Nothing here asks to be believed.
Sources are named, with how far they were actually read. The instruments run on the data itself — move the year on the atlas, count the verses, check the interval. Where a figure was refused rather than estimated, the refusal stands.
What was put outside
Excluded. Renamed. Unexcavated. Unpublished.
Who kept the manuscripts, who funded the digs, who wrote the textbook, and which communities were studied without being told what was found. The gaps are part of the exhibit: marked, not filled in.
Something was emptied out of this place.
Here is what it held.
Mela Keela is a digital museum and research platform. Every claim is a query you can re-run.
